Ms. Khan completed her BA (LLB) at the University of Cape Town, and late earned a Masters degree in International Relations in which she examined North Africa politics. She has also worked as junior IR lecturer at Wits. Her John Kuhn Fellowship grant of R20,000 will support the development of her PhD proposal on Egypt's foreign policy towards Sub-Saharan Africa. |

Mr. Mabuza earned his LLB from the University of the North in Polokwane. At Wits he studied company law, competition law and constitutional law, and completed a dissertation on the law that governs mercenaries in South Africa. Mr. Mabuza has worked as a clerk in the Constitutional Court in Johannesburg and was admitted as an attorney of the Transvaal Provincial Division in April 2005. |

As a recipient of the prestigious John Kuhn fellowship, she intends on furthering her studies at the Wits Business School to obtain another MA degree in Public Policy Management. Ultimately she wants to position herself among a new generation of South African leaders who will take up their roles in steering African development. |

Siham Boda used the JK AWARD to pursue an LLM in Public International Law and Constitutional Litigation at the University of the Witwatersrand. Her thesis, for which she was afforded a first, focused on a comparison between the provision of care afforded to victims under the Rome Statute compared to the Victim's Charter in South Africa. |

Fulufhelo Malada |

Fulufhelo Malada completed her LLB degree at Wits University with distinction in 2014. She enrolled for a Master's degree in Corporate Law in 2015 and received the John Kuhn Fellowship. Other academic achievements include being part of the Dean's List from 2012-2014, receiving the university's merit awards, working as a law tutor and working as a legal intern at Microsoft South Africa. Whilst completing her Master's degree in 2015, she worked as a Research and Teaching Associate at Wits University. Fulufhelo is currently completing her articles of clerkship.
